DOH optimistic of hitting 500K jabs daily by August

The Department of Health (DOH) is optimistic that the Philippines will reach its daily vaccination target of 500,000 doses by August.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III stated that reaching this target would allow the country to achieve herd immunity in approximately 130 days.

On July 13, the highest daily output was recorded at 375,059 doses, and more vaccine supplies are expected to continue arriving in the coming weeks.
