ITCZ, LPA bring rains over PH

Three weather systems, including an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and a low-pressure area (LPA), will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Philippines.

As of Monday, May 2, PAGASA reported that the LPA was located 40 kilometers south southwest of General Santos City in Mindanao and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Tuesday or Wednesday.

Caraga, Davao Region, and Soccsksargen will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ and LPA, potentially causing flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by easterlies or localized thunderstorms.
