PAGASA: Easterlies, frontal system affect weather

Weather bureau PAGASA reported that a frontal system would affect extreme northern Luzon while easterlies would prevail over the rest of the country starting Thursday.

Caraga and Davao were expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to easterlies, potentially leading to flash floods or landslides from moderate to heavy rains.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands would have cloudy skies with possible flash floods or landslides due to the frontal system.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country were forecasted to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also due to easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Northern Luzon was expected to experience moderate to strong wind speeds moving southeast to northeast, while coastal waters would be moderate to rough.
