Dams release water due to Typhoon Ulysses

Typhoon Ulysses caused Luzon dams to release water due to heavy rainfall.

Angat Dam in Bulacan exceeded its spilling level, releasing 65 cubic meters per second of water.

Ipo Dam also opened four gates after reaching a height above the spilling level.

Magat Dam in Isabela and La Mesa Dam in Quezon City also released water to reduce elevation.

Manila Water Co. Inc. confirmed that La Mesa Dam reached its spilling level, with levels rising as of Thursday morning.

PAGASA warned residents near Angat River and other low-lying areas about potential flooding.
