Iloilo restricts travel to towns with local Covid-19 transmission

Iloilo Province has restricted travel to and from municipalities with confirmed local transmission of coronavirus disease (Covid-19), including Guimbal and Lambunao.

The Interagency Task Force Resolution advises stepping up measures in areas with at least two positive cases in different villages, leading Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. to implement additional procedures against the spread of the virus.

Guimbal has three confirmed Covid-19 cases, prompting DOH-CHD 6 to direct 15 high-risk contacts to undergo testing.

All residents of Guimbal are now considered persons under monitoring (PUMs) after confirming local transmission on Tuesday.
