Ilocos Norte: Three towns still without power after Typhoon Neneng

As of Monday, Oct 17, at least three towns in Ilocos Norte remained without electricity a day after Typhoon Neneng hit.

The affected areas include Adams, Carasi, and Dumalneg towns; meanwhile, only two villages in Laoag were without power.

Electricity had been restored to 59 percent of the province’s villages, with INEC personnel working overtime to complete restoration efforts.

On Sunday, seven out of 21 towns and two cities in Ilocos Norte lacked electricity due to Neneng's heavy rain and strong winds, which knocked down electric poles and caused infrastructure damage.

Power supply is expected to be fully restored once the weather improves.
