Ilocos Norte declares calamity due to Neneng damage

Ilocos Norte declared a state of calamity due to flood damage from Typhoon Neneng.

The estimated damage has been revised to PHP177.6 million, with infrastructure suffering the most significant impact at PHP95.3 million.

Adams and Pagudpud towns were particularly hard hit; Adams remains isolated with impassable roads and damaged bridges.

Residents in Adams had to walk 10 kilometers to Pancian, Pagudpud for mobile phone signals.

Governor Matthew Manotoc sent a payloader to assist in clearing roads in Adams.
