Nayong Pilipino mega-vax site to push through with legal clarifications

InfraWatch PH's Terry Ridon supports the proposal to build a mega-vaccination facility at Nayong Pilipino but warns against conditionalities in the use of land and facilities by the private sector after the pandemic.

Lucille Karen Malilong-Isberto, former Nayong Pilipino Foundation executive director, clarified that the board is not opposed to the vaccination site proposal but emphasizes the need for legal clarity regarding property usage.

Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles stated that a memorandum of agreement will be signed soon to proceed with the mega-vaccination facility at Nayong Pilipino despite initial concerns about cutting trees and disrupting wildlife.

ICTSI Foundation defended its plan, asserting that the proposed site is on a vacant portion of the property rather than an urban forest, emphasizing that Entertainment City sits on reclaimed land.
