DOT: No trees to be cut for Nayong Pilipino vax site

The Department of Tourism (DOT) clarified on Wednesday that no trees will be cut for the proposed mega vaccination facility at Nayong Pilipino in Parañaque City.

Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat stated that it was Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) which chose the site, and assured that the architectural plans prioritize environmental preservation.

The DOT emphasized that the site selected by NPF will have minimal impact on the environment, contradicting claims made by former NPF executive director Lucille Karen Malilong-Isberto.
