Cebu City eyes granular lockdown in 21 high-risk barangays

Cebu City is set to implement a 'granular lockdown' in 21 barangays with high concentrations of active coronavirus cases.

Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu, who oversees the IATF's response for Cebu, stated that while the city may be ready for a general community quarantine (GCQ) by month-end, targeted hard lockdowns will be enforced in specific neighborhoods within these barangays.

City hall is expected to issue an executive order detailing the exact areas under total lockdown within the week.
