Zamboanga City locks down 30 areas amid COVID-19 spike

Zamboanga City has placed 30 areas in 17 barangays under lockdown due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

As of Thursday, the city logged 456 total cases with 238 active infections and 12 deaths.

The City Health Office identified top affected barangays including San Jose Gusu, Sto. Niño, Calarian, Mampang, Tetuan, Talon-Talon, and Campo Islam.

Health officials appeal for strict adherence to health protocols such as mask-wearing and physical distancing.
