House ready for Sara's impeachment in June

Speaker Martin Romualdez stated on Wednesday that the House of Representatives prosecution panel is ready for Vice President Sara Duterte's impeachment trial scheduled for June.

The Senate should ensure there are no unnecessary delays during the trial, which Romualdez emphasized as crucial to maintaining Philippine institutions' credibility and accountability.

House Secretary General Reginald Velasco and other officials have inspected Senate facilities designated for the House prosecution team, including the session hall and Senator Arturo M. Tolentino Room.

Romualdez stressed the importance of early preparations to ensure order during the trial, emphasizing its solemn constitutional nature requiring integrity and impartiality.

The House remains committed to fully cooperating with the Senate to ensure a fair, transparent, and credible impeachment trial.
