Rep Paolo Duterte invited to Quad Committee hearing

Davao City Representative Paolo 'Pulong' Duterte has expressed intent to raise questions at the next Quad Committee hearing, which will now invite him to participate.

House Committee on Public Accounts chairman Joseph Stephen Paduano confirmed that an invitation for Rep. Duterte was extended following his letter expressing interest in questioning resource persons during the hearing.

Jimmy Guban, a convicted former Bureau of Customs official, implicated Duterte and others in illegal drug smuggling worth P6 billion in 2018, allegations which both Rep. Duterte and Antiporda have denied.

Rep. Duterte emphasized that he has no transaction with Jimmy Guban and questioned his credibility, stating that Guban was found to be lying before the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee.

The House Quad Committee continues its investigation into narcotics, illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations, and alleged extrajudicial killings under former President Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.
