Singson: Duque's situation not unique despite hardships

House public accounts panel chairman Bonito Singson expressed sympathy for DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III but stated that his situation is not unique and must still be scrutinized.

Singson acknowledged Duque's emotional outburst during the hearing as understandable given the pressure faced by the DOH due to the COA report questioning P67.32 billion in COVID-19 funds.

Duque had claimed that he and other officials were sleepless since the release of the audit report, with calls for his resignation but President Duterte backing him.
