Philippines records high heat indexes across cities

On Tuesday May 26, Butuan City, Dagupan City, and Roxas City recorded the highest heat index at 47°C, followed by Sangley Point in Cavite City with 45°C.

PAGASA warned that a heat index between 41-54°C can lead to heat cramps and exhaustion, potentially resulting in heat stroke during continuous physical activity.

Previously on May 25, Legazpi City recorded the highest heat index at 49°C, followed by Ambulong in Tanauan City with 48°C and Guiuan in Eastern Samar with 47°C.

On May 24, Roxas City had the highest heat index of 46°C, followed by Catbalogan City and Sangley Point in Cavite City at 45°C.
