PAGASA warns scattered rains, thunderstorms across parts of Luzon, Visayas due to Habagat

Pagasa forecasts cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms across parts of Luzon and the western section of Visayas due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) on Sunday.

The Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, Metro Manila, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, SOCCSKSARGEN, and BARMM are expected to experience scattered rains and thunderstorms, increasing the risk of flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila is forecasted to see isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, while partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers may occur in other parts of Luzon throughout the day.

Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned that flash floods or landslides may occur amid the inclement weather, but conditions are forecasted to improve by mid-next week in Palawan and Occidental Mindoro.

Currently, there are no low pressure areas being monitored inside or outside the Philippine area of responsibility that may affect the country in the next few days.
