Gov't allows OFW deployment abroad except for healthcare professionals

The Philippine government has allowed overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to work abroad except for healthcare professionals covered by a deployment ban.

Land-based and sea-based OFWs are permitted to deploy upon signing a declaration acknowledging the risks involved due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Recruitment agencies can now operate in areas under general or modified enhanced community quarantine, facilitating quicker processing and deployment of workers.
