Go chides agencies for slow distribution of health workers' benefits

Senator Bong Go criticized the DOH, DBM, and DOLE for delays in distributing PHP100,000 sickness benefits and PHP1 million death benefits to health workers affected by severe COVID-19.

Go expressed dismay over conflicting statements from these agencies regarding implementing guidelines of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, which resulted in delayed compensation distribution.

He urged the agencies to coordinate and issue a joint implementation directive.
