Ginebra falls to TNT in PBA Finals Game 7, 83-87

Barangay Ginebra suffered an 83-87 loss to TNT in Game 7 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals on Friday evening, conceding the title to their rivals.

Despite Justin Brownlee’s heroic efforts with 28 points and 10 rebounds, including a crucial triple that sent the game into overtime, Ginebra fell short as key plays by Glenn Khobuntin and Calvin Oftana secured TNT's victory.

Coach Tim Cone acknowledged that TNT was better at executing their game plan, noting that coming off a loss made it mentally tougher to prepare for Game 7.

Cone emphasized the need for his team to regroup quickly after the loss, citing missed free throws and turnovers as factors in Ginebra’s defeat in the decisive match.

The defeat marked the third consecutive time Ginebra fell short in a title series, with Cone noting it was also his first Game 7 finals loss in 13 years.

In post-game remarks, Cone credited TNT for making the crucial plays down the stretch and said they deserved to win more than Ginebra did.
