Gilas Women lose to Korea, end Asiad medal hopes

The Philippine women's basketball team, Gilas Pilipinas Women, bowed out of medal contention at the 19th Asian Games after losing to South Korea 93-71 on Monday.

Gilas Women struggled with a slow start and fell behind early in the game, making it difficult to catch up throughout.

In their previous match against Japan on Sunday, Gilas Women suffered a significant defeat by a score of 96-59.

Despite the loss to Japan, Gilas secured a quarterfinals berth with a 2-1 record and advanced as one of the top two teams in Group B.
