Galvez: Vaccinate minors to reopen schools, protect mental health

Vaccination of minors aged 12 to 17 is crucial for reopening schools and protecting their mental health, according to National Task Force Against COVID-19 chief Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr.

As of Saturday, the Philippines has administered over 45.9 million doses of vaccines, with about 100 million more expected this month.

889,200 Pfizer vaccine doses arrived in the country on Saturday for the pilot implementation of vaccinating children aged 12 to 17 starting October 15.

The government plans to allocate around 60 million doses for minors' vaccination.
