Gov’t secures 40M Pfizer doses, half for 12-15 year olds

The Philippine government has secured a deal for 40 million doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines to be delivered in the third and fourth quarter of this year.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. announced that half of these doses will likely be used for children aged 12 to 15 once expert guidelines are issued.

The procurement is financed through a multilateral arrangement with the Asian Development Bank.
