Galvez urges trust in COVID-19 vaccines, highlights info drive

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. is urging the public to trust COVID-19 vaccines, emphasizing that only safe and effective ones will be purchased.

Galvez highlighted that over 66 million people globally have received vaccinations, including six million with Sinovac.

On Monday, Galvez stressed during a televised briefing with President Duterte that an information campaign is crucial for boosting vaccine confidence among Filipinos.

He noted that concerns about adverse effects and anti-vaxxer posts on social media are lowering public willingness to get vaccinated.
