Galvez: Only gov’t authorized to procure COVID-19 vaccines

Only the Philippine government is authorized to procure and administer COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. warned against individuals promising guaranteed access to vaccines for a fee, calling such offers illegal and life-threatening.

Galvez received reports of people being promised vaccines by the third quarter of 2021 if they paid $22 before Monday morning.

He stressed that no emergency use authorization has been issued to any available vaccines.
