Rain or Shine beats Magnolia in OT with Fuller’s comeback

Rain or Shine head coach Yeng Guiao expressed relief and pride as import Aaron Fuller returned from a serious eye injury to lead the team to an overtime victory against Magnolia in Game 3 of the PBA Governors' Cup quarterfinals on Sunday, September 29.

Despite sustaining a torn cornea after being poked by Ian Sangalang during Friday's game, Fuller played crucial minutes and scored 29 points with 11 rebounds and 6 assists to help Rain or Shine win 111-106.

Fuller’s performance was particularly notable in overtime when he scored nine points, including five clutch free throws near the end of the game.

Rain or Shine now holds a 2-1 series lead over Magnolia as they continue their push towards the semifinals.

Coach Guiao praised Fuller's resilience and leadership, noting that his return provided significant inspiration to the team.

Jhonard Clarito also contributed with 18 points and key defensive plays in the final moments of the game.
