Chery Tiggo wins, ties for second with Petro Gazz

Chery Tiggo extended its winning streak to five matches by defeating PLDT in straight sets, 25-22, 25-16, 25-20, on Tuesday at PhilSports Arena.

Petro Gazz secured a dominant victory over Cignal with identical scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-17, placing both teams in a four-way tie for second place alongside Creamline and PLDT with a record of 7-2 each.

Eya Laure and EJ Laure combined for 22 points while Petro Gazz's Jonah Sabete led his team with 16 points and Brooke Van Sickle contributed 13 points.

Chery Tiggo's Jen Nierva contributed with 12 excellent digs, Alina Bicar orchestrated the offense with 11 excellent sets, and Ara Galang added 10 points.

With only four teams advancing to the semifinals, Chery Tiggo and Petro Gazz aim to maintain their strong performances as they face Akari and Cignal respectively in upcoming matches.
