Around 1,000 tourists flown or scheduled to fly back from stranded Boracay

Around 500 tourists, including both local and international travelers, were flown back to Manila from Boracay Island on March 21 and 22.

Another estimated 500 tourists remain stranded on the island and are scheduled for repatriation flights on March 26.

Aklan Governor Florencio Miraflores stated that up to 150 foreign tourists may still be in Boracay, with the Russian Embassy assisting over 100 Russian nationals for a repatriation flight.
