DFA: One new case of COVID-19 among Filipinos abroad

As of Sunday, February 28, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) recorded one new case of COVID-19 among Filipinos overseas, bringing the total to 14,897.

No new fatalities or recoveries were reported on that day; however, from February 21 to 27, there were 105 new cases and six deaths.

The Middle East/Africa region has the highest number of infected Filipinos with 8,131 cases, followed by Asia Pacific (2,925), Europe (2,967), and Americas (874).

Total recoveries remain at 9,379 while the death toll is at 1,018.

The DFA continues to monitor the situation of overseas Filipinos and promote their welfare.
