Filipinos Abroad Infected with COVID-19 Reach 8,301

As of Monday, June 22, the number of Filipinos abroad infected with COVID-19 reached 8,301, with an additional 2,160 cases reported since Sunday.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) noted a significant increase in recoveries to 5,055 after recording 2,193 new recoveries.

There were only 10 new deaths recorded, bringing the total death toll to 506.

Active cases stand at 2,740 with the Middle East and Africa region having the highest number of infections (3,945) followed by Europe (937), the Americas (685), and Asia Pacific (574).

The DFA has repatriated a total of 51,113 overseas Filipinos since February 2020.
