FEU secures first winning streak with victory over NU

Far Eastern University secured its first-ever winning streak in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament with a 65-58 victory over National University on Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Royce Alforque and Jorick Bautista were pivotal in securing FEU’s win, particularly in the final moments when Alforque scored key baskets to extend FEU’s lead before Bautista sealed the victory with a crucial three-pointer.

FEU head coach Sean Chambers expressed optimism about his team's progress, noting they are becoming more comfortable with their goals and game plan as they improve to a 4-6 record.

Chambers emphasized that while the Tamaraws started slowly, recent victories have given them momentum and confidence moving forward.

The Tamaraws face University of Santo Tomas next in what could be another pivotal match for FEU's playoff aspirations.
