FEU beats ADMU, clinches Final Four spot

Far Eastern University (FEU) secured a crucial 65-54 victory over Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) in their UAAP Season 87 men's basketball game on Saturday, boosting FEU’s Final Four hopes and putting ADMU on the brink of elimination.

Despite starting the season with only one win, FEU turned things around to rise to a record of 5-8, surpassing both ADMU (3-9) and NU Bulldogs (4-9), who are now eliminated from contention.

Coach Sean Chambers praised his team's discipline and resilience, noting their success against previous opponents and emphasizing that they have validated his faith in them despite an initial slow start.

Mo Konateh’s performance was pivotal for FEU, as he outrebounded Ateneo 21-13 and contributed significantly to their 20-to-5 advantage in second-chance points.

With only two games left in their schedule, Ateneo is officially out of Final Four contention if University of Santo Tomas defeats University of the East on Saturday.
