Bautista's clutch performance lifts FEU past Adamson 76-72

Far Eastern University's Jorick Bautista scored 21 points, including crucial free throws and a game-tying three-pointer in overtime, to secure a 76-72 victory over Adamson University in the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball tournament on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Bautista's performance was pivotal as he hit a key triple that sent the game into overtime and maintained a four-point cushion with two minutes left, while Mo Konateh contributed significantly with a double-double of 13 points and 26 rebounds, falling one rebound short of the men's basketball record.

Adamson's Monty Montebon showed resilience with three crucial three-pointers in overtime to keep his team alive but could not overcome FEU’s lead as Bautista sealed the win from the free-throw line.

FEU head coach Sean Chambers praised his team's defense and leadership, noting that they are starting to see the light in their offense after four months into the season.

With this victory, Far Eastern University improved its record to 2-6 while Adamson fell to a 3-5 slate.
