Over 124K families still affected by Taal eruption

As of Thursday, January 30, over 124,764 families have been affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Quezon.

The number of people staying in evacuation centers has dropped to 19,131 from 35,574 on Wednesday, with many returning home or staying with relatives.

On Sunday, Phivolcs lowered Taal Volcano's status to Alert Level 3.

Damage to infrastructure and agriculture in Batangas, Cavite, and Laguna remains at PHP3.3 billion.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Department of Health have provided aid worth PHP84 million.
