Philippine cities run low on face masks amid nCoV scare

The novel coronavirus (nCoV) outbreak has led to a scarcity of face masks in various cities including Bacolod, Iligan, and Manila.

In Bacolod, supplies started depleting on Thursday with pharmacies posting notices by Saturday indicating they have run out of stocks.

Iligan City also reported shortages with some stores selling out their entire stock within hours after the DOH announced the first confirmed case in the Philippines.

Students in Manila scrambled early Friday morning to find face masks, but many stores were already out of stock due to high demand.
