DTI: 2M face masks for public, health workers in a month

DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez announced Tuesday that two million surgical masks will be available for health workers and the public within a month to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The main supplier in Bataan has committed to producing 400,000 face masks per week, with an initial delivery of 100,000 masks prioritized for health workers.

Lopez emphasized that half of the mask supply will be allocated to the public and half to the DOH, ensuring a steady stock as needed.
