Libya implements 6 PM to 6 AM curfew due to COVID-19

The Libyan government implemented a curfew from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for two weeks starting July 27 due to rising COVID-19 cases.

The curfew affects municipalities in the central region, Greater Tripoli, West Coast, and Western Mountains.

Commercial activities are prohibited during this time, with cafes, restaurants, clubs, parks, and gardens closed.

However, essential services such as security, health sector, pharmacies, cleaning works, electricity, energy, communications, and freights are exempt from the curfew.
