PNP begins vaccinating frontline cops in Metro Manila

On Tuesday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) began vaccinating frontline police officers in Metro Manila with 500 doses of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine.

Police Chief Guillermo Eleazar received his first dose during a ceremony at Camp Crame and encouraged other police officers to get vaccinated.

Eleazar noted that over 92% of PNP personnel are willing to receive the vaccine, but those who decline will not face penalties.

The vaccines were part of a larger allocation of 53,000 doses for Metro Manila, with more vaccinations planned for senior officers and other A4 priority group members.
