AJ Edu, Jamie Malonzo join Gilas for China Taipei match

AJ Edu and Jamie Malonzo are returning to the Gilas Pilipinas roster for the third window of the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers against Chinese Taipei on Thursday.

Edu, a 25-year-old center, will be an important player as the team misses Kai Sotto due to a torn ACL, with coach Tim Cone also tapping veteran Japeth Aguilar to add height to the lineup.

The current Gilas roster includes key players like Justin Brownlee, Scottie Thompson, June Mar Fajardo, CJ Perez, and Carl Tamayo, along with new additions Kevin Quiambao and Mason Amos as a reserve player.

Upcoming matches include a game against Chinese Taipei on Thursday followed by a match against New Zealand on Sunday, February 23.

Gilas has already secured their spot in this year's FIBA Asia Cup after winning all of their previous games but aims to bounce back from a 'disappointing' run in Qatar.
