EAC edges Lyceum 90-88 in NCAA men's basketball

Emilio Aguinaldo College narrowly defeated Lyceum in a thrilling 90-88 victory on Sunday in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament.

King Gurtiza scored the final five points, including crucial free throws with 6.7 seconds left to secure the win after EAC had blown an 18-point lead earlier in the game.

Gurtiza’s performance included 21 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while also demonstrating leadership by guarding key opponents.

With the Generals trailing by two down the stretch, Gurtiza tied the game with a triple at the 57-second mark before hitting two clutch free throws to put EAC ahead for good.

Both teams now sit at 3-4 in the team standings after this contest.
