Davao City under ECQ from April 4-19

Davao City will be under enhanced community quarantine starting April 4 until April 19.

The decision was made due to an increase in coronavirus cases from 40 on March 30 to 49 by April 1, with six deaths reported.

As of March 31, Davao Region had a total of 50 confirmed COVID-19 cases and six deaths.

By April 1, the number rose to 59 cases in Davao Region, including five doctors and three nurses who tested positive at Southern Philippines Medical Center.

Mayor Sara Duterte warned that stricter measures will be implemented if residents continue to violate quarantine guidelines.
