Duterte calls mayors to explain vaccine line jumping

President Rodrigo Duterte called for 9 mayors to explain why they received COVID-19 vaccines before healthcare frontliners.

The president held a meeting with pandemic task force officials on Wednesday, March 24, mentioning specific mayors who jumped the vaccine line.

Duterte noted that some non-health workers, including children of celebrities, were also vaccinated ahead of schedule.

Despite his concerns, Duterte indicated there is a 'gray area' and he remains undecided about fully condemning those who received vaccines out of order.
