Duterte urges Congress to pass priority bills for recovery

President Duterte called for recovery programs and economic reforms during his final State of the Nation Address.

Negros Occidental Governor Lacson described Duterte's call as 'decisively pivotal' in battling the pandemic and recovering from it.

Duterte urged Congress to pass amendments to key laws such as the Public Service Act, Foreign Investments Act, and Retail Trade Liberalization Act to boost economic recovery.

He also pushed for a bill institutionalizing e-Governance to address challenges posed by the pandemic.
