Over 10M out of 18M target families got emergency cash aid

As of April 30, over 10 million out of the 18 million targeted families have received emergency cash assistance from the government under its social amelioration program.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has distributed more than P53.8 billion to beneficiaries, with a total budget of P100 billion received on April 2 and an additional P96 billion on April 17.

President Duterte's report to Congress on April 28 stated that as of April 24, only around 6.27 million families had actually received the assistance, indicating less than half of the targeted beneficiaries have been served.
