Duterte denies threatening COA over DOH audit report

President Rodrigo Duterte denied threatening the Commission on Audit (COA) over its audit report criticizing the Department of Health (DOH), stating he was merely frustrated.

Duterte defended DOH from corruption allegations, calling them 'pure bullshit' and insisting it's impossible to steal P67.3 billion.

He also refused to fire Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, saying Duque did nothing wrong and that COA reports are 'not fair'.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque clarified that Duterte’s comments were not threats but expressions of frustration over the public perception of the audit report.
