Duterte urges 'pandemic-resilient' PNP

President Rodrigo Duterte called on the Philippine National Police (PNP) during their 119th anniversary to remain resilient and implement strict quarantine protocols under the 'new normal'.

Duterte thanked PNP members for their selfless service as frontliners in the fight against COVID-19, recognizing their contributions to combating illegal drugs, criminality, and terrorism.

The president also noted that the nation appreciates the PNP's efforts during the pandemic, with 2,347 confirmed cases among police personnel, 1,384 recoveries, and 11 deaths.
