Galvez urges indemnification clause in Bayanihan 3

Vaccine czar Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. and Health Secretary Francisco Duque III urged lawmakers to include an indemnification clause in the proposed third Bayanihan Law to ensure compensation for individuals who may develop serious side effects after taking a COVID-19 vaccine.

During recent inquiries, both officials stressed the importance of having such legislation as it prepares for the distribution of 40 million doses of vaccines secured through COVAX.

Health Secretary Duque also addressed concerns about pursuing manufacturers and distributors if their products cause adverse effects.
