DOH urges full COVID-19 vaccine doses for full protection

DOH urges Filipinos who have taken their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to get their second shot for full protection.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire stated this after reports showed roughly 113,000 individuals missed their second doses.

Dr. Edsel Salvana clarified that while catch-up vaccination is acceptable, getting the second dose on time provides better protection.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III clarified only 9% of vaccine recipients missed their schedule for the second dose due to personal reasons and illness.
