DSWD starts transporting food packs to typhoon-hit Northern Samar

The DSWD has started transporting relief supplies to Northern Samar, which was hit by Typhoon Ambo.

On Friday, 1,350 family food packs were initially brought to Catarman town and will be prepositioned for immediate response.

As of Wednesday, the DSWD's Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center reported stockpiles worth PHP1.18 billion including standby funds and relief items.

The DSWD is also repacking its prepositioned stockpiles in Eastern Visayas to prepare for Typhoon Ambo.
