Duterte, lawmakers on self-quarantine after COVID exposure

President Rodrigo Duterte has placed himself under self-quarantine until April 7 after being exposed to Cabinet officials and lawmakers, including ACT-CIS party-list Representative Eric Go Yap, who tested positive for COVID-19.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año also began his self-quarantine on Wednesday after attending a meeting with Yap.

Twenty lawmakers are going into self-quarantine as a precaution after attending the special session at the House of Representatives where Yap was present while awaiting test results.

Budget Secretary Wendel Avisado and Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista also decided to go into self-quarantine following their attendance at the March 21 meeting in Malacañang.
