DSWD aids nearly 13K indigent students in Central Luzon

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has provided educational aid to nearly 13,000 indigent students in Central Luzon as part of its Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations program.

During two rounds of distribution from Aug. 20 until Sept. 24, the DSWD distributed cash assistance to students based on their school level: P1,000 for elementary students, P2,000 for junior high school students, P3,000 for senior high school students, and P4,000 for college or vocational course students.

The latest payout on Aug. 27 saw an additional 8,969 students receiving aid, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 12,880 across seven provinces in Central Luzon.
